Levamed is a soft tissue compression support for the upper ankle joint (UAJ) and lower ankle joint (LAJ) with integrated 3D silicone metatarsal pads. The ankle support is nice and thin and ensures a high level of comfort – even when worn in shoes. The extended relief zone in the sensitive instep area further improves wearing comfort, especially for patients with a high instep. A more precise and comfortable fit is achieved thanks to the 90-degree angle, emphasised arch of the foot and extended underfoot.

The ankle support is used for all indications that require soft tissue compression with local additional padding on the ankle joint, for example:

Mild instabilities
Sprains (distortions) and bruises
Swelling and joint effusions (arthrosis/arthritis)

The 3D silicone metatarsal pads of the Levamed support provide a gentle massage effect and help to reduce swelling (oedema, haematoma).

The compressive fabric in the ankle area can also improve the wearer’s own body per awareness (proprioception). This in turn supports the guidance and stabilisation of the joint.

The unique comfort knit with stretch zone at the upper edge makes it easier to put on. In addition, the enclosed balloon silk donning aid makes it easier to put on and to position the Levamed support correctly.

Due to the special combination of high-tech and natural eucalyptus fibres, the ankle support is also particularly gentle on the skin. Thanks to Clima Comfort*, Levamed can be worn not only in everyday life but also during physical activity. The modern fibre technology quickly wicks moisture away from the skin and ensures high breathability. The integrated Clima Fresh function has an odour-inhibiting effect. This is achieved using special fibre technology or a special finish in the production process.
